4.g.1 - Draw points, lines, line segments, rays, angles (right,

acute, obtuse), and perpendicular and parallel lines. Identify
                               in two-dimensional figures.

Objective: Learn how to draw and identify points, lines, rays, and angles.

           Materials: (Per 2 Students)

           15 toothpicks

            1 bottle of glue
            1 construction paper
            1 marker
            9 small sticky tabs

           Lesson Discussion:
 Explain the properties of a point, a line, a line segment, a ray, and an angle to

                  students.
 Teach students how to identify and distinguish parallel, intersecting, and
                  perpendicular lines.
 Teach students how to identify different kinds of angles such as acute, obtuse,
                  right, and straight angles.

           Procedure:

Step 1: Distribute the materials to each student.

Step 2: Instruct the students to draw a three-by-three grid on their construction paper (as

           large as possible).
